Hello! We are the blog of the volunteers of La Casa de Panchita.
For those who do not know what La Casa de Panchita is, this is a meeting place for women and girls who work in domestic service located in Lima, Peru. La Casa de Panchita is the institutional premises of the Asociación Grupo de Trabajo Redes, a non-profit organization that defends the rights of those who work in domestic service. This blog is a space for our Peruvian and foreign volunteers. In it we will share a little of everything. From our outings and volunteer meetings to the experiences and opinions of our volunteers about their work and life in our city.
We then started by sharing a photo of our “maki night”. On Friday, July 4, we got together to eat some rolls and we had a great time. For some it was the first time eating makis and using sticks. The knowledgeable ones helped the beginners and the result was a night of different flavors and fun.
